What I've got so far (after talking to Adanteh and Cole)
Limited AO (circle or a square on a map shown for both sides) - can't place caches outside
Win conditions BLU: destroy X amount of caches INS: Reduce BLU tickets to 0
BLU Small amount of tickets but superior equipment and vehicles. Spawn: chain linking FOs ?
INS No tickets Two types of kits - CIV and Combatant You can either spawn as a CIV (no weapons or equipment at all) inside the AO (Spawns are: many, invisible (no object), automatically placed (inside buildings?) and blockable by BLU in a small radius). To get weapons you need to get to the cache. Or as a Combatant at MB only (with a weapon but with a very limited amount of ammmo, no grenades etc. can rearm at the cache)
CIV becomes a Combatant if he picks up a weapon (including grenades, explosives etc.) or takes a kit from the cache. If Combatant drops all weapons (and ammo?) he becomes a CIV again (with a 2 min delay).
Killing CIVs is heavily penalized by respawn time, -tickets, -score
Caches are placed by INS SLs. IF not placed within X minutes they get placed automatically. Caches can't be placed too close (min spacing)
Types of caches:
- Weapons cache - take kits and rearm
- IED cache (Everyone can take very limited amount of IEDs, AP and AT mines. Turning vehicles into VBIEDs)
- Statics cache. Turning civilian vehicles into technicals (unarmed vehicle is replaced with armed equivalent)). For the future: statics teams.
- Propaganda cache - decreases INS respawn time :) ???
Caches are destroyed either by:
- being close to them (like FOs but longer) - not very satisfying, allows sneaking
- Or by placing (virtual) explosives (hold action) that you can disarm (like CS and Battlefield Rush mode) - doesn't allow sneaking but don't really like this idea, feels too gamey.
- Or by "loading" inside a vehicle (of any kind, except for the light ones like humvees) - no sneaking, will create interesting gameplay, my favorite.
--- Intel System (optional) --- Shouldn't be mandatory since BLU should be able to just monitor CIV movement to find caches. (especially since they'll have air assets like helis, drones and quadcopters). BUt can be good as a fall back system.
Blufor gets a big circle indicating possible objective location. Let's say 1 km in diameter. Circle gets smaller the more intel you get e.g. 0 IP - 1 km, 10 IP - 800m, 20 IP - 600m etc. Up to a min of 100m?
You can get intel by:
Killng INS (and searching the body) = 1 point Capturing INS = incap + restraint (hold action like bandage, guy respawns) = 10 IP
INS can capture too - BLU loses X tickets
