Issue description
Release announcement preparation
-
Create the release announcement draft -
Send it to the cip-members ML for review -
Get approval -
Double check links
-
-
Prepare the mail version of the release announcement. -
Get the link to the release announcement on the web to add it to different pages: - Figure out the link since wordpress assign links based on dates to the blog posts so publishing before the actual release date is not the right way to go since it will get a previous date as link.
-
On release day (RD), publish the post as private on the cip-project.org blog - Confirm that the URL is the expected one, the one used previously.
- Format the release announcement.
- Visibility as private
- Check the links.
Social Media campaign preparation
-
Add in the CIP marketing wiki page the social media messages. - We need the link to the release announcement before finishing this task.
- The links should be shorten through a service.
- The twitter messages needs to be word counted to ensure we are not above 140 characters.
-
Once the messages are done, they should be translated by the community. - Send a mail to cip-dev about it.
- Refer in that mail to the process to get edit rights in the CIP wiki.
-
Create a blog post about the release and related activities. - Send the blog post to members to get approval
- Publish it in the blog of the cip-project.org site a couple of days after the release, to keep the punch
-
Create two slides about B@D for the OSSEU CIP presentation. Use only plain text -
