This definitely makes sense. I don't think this needs to be in %Launch since we can just copy the existing content over. I'd really like to see this new website launch sooner rather then later. Then we can start doing improvements here in gitlab while spending minimal time stuck between both versions of the website.
We should also clarify which tracker should be used for what type of issue. People report wrong issues against fdroidserver a lot, because these are currently explaining things sub-optimal:
<p>For the server tools (used for building apps yourself,or running your own repo), and issues relating to the web site, please use <a href="https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroidserver/issues">this issue tracker</a>.</p>
Can you please change it to:
<p>For the server tools (used for building apps yourself,or running your own repo), please use <a href="https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroidserver/issues">this issue tracker</a>.</p><p>For issues relating to the <a href="https://f-droid.org/">web site</a>, please use <a href="https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroid-website/issues">this issue tracker</a>.</p><p>For issues relating to the <a href="https://f-droid.org/wiki/">wiki</a>, please use <a href="https://forum.f-droid.org/c/wiki">this issue tracker</a>.</p>
