Translations with ampersand (&) don't seem to work.

While investigating issue #231 (closed), I noticed that in languages which use mostly latin characters, the categories "Phone & SMS" and "Science & Education" are often blank. By blank, I don't mean not-present, but rather present and an empty string - which means they don't revert back to English (perhaps another F-Droid/tools/*.sh script could focus on removing empty translations?).

My suspicion is that the & is not being encoded correctly by the translate extension, which causes some miscellaneous sadness, but I am unsure.

There is already a script removing empty translations :) I just run those scripts only before stable releases to avoid noise. I added it a month ago or so.

Yep, sounds like the translate script is kinda broken.

As it stands now, it seems that the strings that are being pulled back as empty (there are 17 of them, spread over about 9 languages) actually are empty - i.e. there is a translation for them and the translation actually is set at "".

On the other hand, they are all strings that would contain &, and the ones I've checked so far seem to have been set to "" during a sync. So possibly something went wrong with this in the past, and now the translations just need correcting. I'm trying this...
