Private repos access

Hi Guys!

Could you please tell me is it possible to make private repositories visible only for certain group members? And how to configure it, if yes?

It worked previously like a charm, looks like there is a degradation in the functionality.

@evgeny_at_vedidev and @fedor1, thanks for contacting us. You can add users to your project with this guide. If the project is private, it would only be visible to these members. Is this what you were looking for?

@harishsr, yes we did it in that way. Also, as @fedor1 mentioned, seems that earlier it worked properly, we hadn't possibility to see projects in group we belong to without having access to them, but for now all projects is visible for all group members. Thank you for the reply!

@harishsr, any updates on this? It’s very severe security degradation, impacting all users of the service. I hope you'll be able to fix this ASAP, as it's ruining reliability of your service for our business, and for businesses of all your clients.

@evgeny_at_vedidev, I'm sorry about the frustration this situation may be causing you. In researching this it appears the change took place in gitlab-ce merge request !7899 and it is being changed back in our next release on the 22nd of this month. The discussion in the gitlab-ce project is/was on gitlab-ce issue #24122 as well.

Closing issue. This fix was released.

It's not a fix, we contacted your security department and had to apply workaround there.
