Migrate JIRA issues to GitLab

@evhoffmann when is this scheduled to be released? It would be cool if we could coordinate and have https://gitlab.com/gitlab-com/www-gitlab-com/issues/1476 updated at the same time :)
@axil the timeline is flexible! I'm all for coordinating (cc @rebecca). One thing to consider is, we perhaps shouldn't use this post to explicitly hype the page too much, because it was written by a community member and appeared originally on their blog. So I think we shouldn't promote ourselves too much, but we can absolutely time the publish date so that the two magnify each other.
@evhoffmann oh, I see now. It's probably best not to hype our JIRA page as you suggested. I'll leave for @victorwu to decide :)
@axil @rebecca : Since we don't have a native way to migrate JIRA issues into GitLab issues, I am glad we have a community member suggest a way to do it through the API.
But since that method is not officially supported by GitLab, I think it's worth it to mention that fact, and that we are working on a native solution (and link to https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ee/issues/2780). So in both the blog post here and in @axil 's page in #1476 (closed), I think it makes sense to say we don't have an officially supported solution yet. We are working on it. But in the meantime, feel free to look at this community member's workaround.
Other than that, I think the two efforts are somewhat independent as @evhoffmann says, again, since that is a community member's way of doing things, and not a natively supported GitLab way.
Thanks for your input @victorwu.
@evhoffmann Could you add a paragraph to that effect at the beginning of the post?
Thanks Victor & Axil! @rebecca I've just added that note to the post, please let me know if you have a preferred format for an "editor's note" equivalent. Otherwise, this one is also ready to be added to the publishing schedule!
@evhoffmann I'd like to publish today if that's okay? Assign to me if it's good to go from your end.
