`gdk help` is unhelpful when not yet configured

Could not find GDK_ROOT in the current directory or any of its parents.

It would be nice if this printed the help text anyways.

It tries to print out a file from the GDK directory, which obviously doesn't exist:

when 'help'
  puts File.read(File.join($gdk_root, 'HELP'))

See gdk.rb. It should have this help text embedded in the gem.

I think we should think about this as: gdk help does not work when you are not in (the child directory of) a GDK root directory. Whether anything is configured or not is not the point.

Maybe the simplest thing to do here is to improve the Could not find GDK_ROOT message. https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-development-kit/merge_requests/213

@connorshea the reason the help text is not in the gem is that I wanted to be able to iterate on it quickly. If possible I would like to keep it that way.
