I'd have liked to add a test case but can't find the string that causes DetectCharset to return no matches and no error. It's buried deep in an anonymous repository somewhere.

I guess I could make the charset detector injectable but it seems like a lot of work just for that. WDYT?

Fix looks fine. Something that usually breaks encodings is mixing English ASCII-8 with say Chinese UTF-16 in the same string (yes, been there, done that 😂 )
