Deploy key not listed if in no project

I'm using GitLab 7.6.2 16f0968c

1. Add a new project A
2. Add a new deploy key B
3. Remove project A
4. Try to add key B to any project --> it's not listed

The key will no longer be listed but is still available in the database. You also cannot add the key as a new one because duplicates are denied.

@lukas-schulze Do you still experience this with latest GitLab versions?

@lukas-schulze: I'm not able to reproduce this on my own instance or GitLab.com. Please comment on this issue if you are still able to reproduce this on your own projects

I have the same behavior.

1. I imported a github project into my gitlab instance and add a deploy key
2. My users would like to use another name from the imported project
3. I dropped the imported project
4. I imported again the same project, but with another name in gitlab.

The added SSH key remains in database but is not listed in my available Deploy Keys. I can't add it.

Can I safely remove the entry in the keys table ? And add my key again ?

My gitlab 8.12.3-ce instance is installed from Debian package.

I updated to 8.12.6-ce, same result.

As a workaround, I manually deleted the key in database:

# sudo -u gitlab-psql /opt/gitlab/embedded/bin/psql -h /var/opt/gitlab/postgresql -d gitlabhq_production gitlabhq_production=# DELETE FROM keys WHERE id = id_to_delete

Then I restarted gitlab services:

gitlab-ctl reconfigure
