Adding backslash to a search term results in an Internal Server Error

Hello,

This only happens when searching inside a repository. We're currently running Gitlab CE 8.6.4

Reproduction:

  1. Go to a project page
  2. Enter test\ in the search box in the top right

EDIT: On further inspection, this error does not happen when the repository is public.

The error also appears on GitLab.com when searching inside a private repository.
