[Notification] Too many email notifications when creating new branch

When creating a new branch sometimes it could send thousands of emails to all the group members. Why not just send one notification email saying that a new branch is created?

What do the logs say? Did I understand it correctly: Every group member gets a lot (1000) emails when a new branch is created?

@razer6 Which log should I look into? And yes everyone in the group gets a lot emails when a new branch is created ....

I'm unable to reproduce this issue with the current version of gitlab, so i'll close this issue for now.
If you're still experiencing this issue with the current version of gitlab, please create a new issue for it. (And link to this one)
