Unable to un-set a due date for an issue

It seems there isn't any way to un-set the due date of an issue after one has been set? (Or perhaps I'm just missing it).

The obvious looking thing is the "x" button towards the top-right when you click on the Edit link, but that just closes the calendar picker widget.
