Same user using two registered emails is seen as two users

It is possible to register multiple emails in an account profile but when committing using the two emails the commits are shown as if they were from two different users.

The avatar is shown only for the primary email (including in the 'Network' view), repository stats do not merge the commits made by the same user using different emails.

It looks like the multiple emails are taken into account in the 'Graphs' view only.

It would be nice if we could get consistent behaviour regarding this accross all Gitlab views.

This seems also to happen with two users with the same email but different names. I cloned a repo on two different computers via the same Gitlab credentials, but with the local git user.name properties set differently, and under /graphs two different users were displayed:

firstname firstname@aaa.com

and

Firstname Lastname firstname@aaa.com

(note same email address)

It does appear as if in other places the two 'users' are canonicalised properly though.

This should be fixed in the current version of gitlab, so I'll close this issue. Feel free to reopen if you're still experiencing it.
