[UI] Search does not work again

Maybe related to https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/20165

I put search word to input field, press Enter and nothing happen. Sometimes my search phrase is being replacing with "settings-undefined"

It's weirds issue, it works then it stops working. Trying to understand how to reproduce it.

UI team, could you play a bit with search. It's really weird issue and I really don't know how to reproduce it /cc @fatihacet

The same for CE master

It only seems to break sometimes :/ I can't figure out what causes it though.

Currently this happens for me on gitlab.com all the time.

@winniehell This is where ES should help :) It's disabled now

@vsizov Thank you for clarifying. So it is unrelated because this issue happened before disabling ElasticSearch and afterwards.

I'm also seeing this on curent GitLab.com, tested in firefox and chromium

Focusing the search box:

Typing 'a':

Hitting 'return' *after waiting for the autocomplete call to finish:

If I hit return before waiting for it to finish, it seems to just clear the input box.

Nothing of interest on the js console, the only HTTP requests are for /search/autocomplete, it's like the return is swallowed up.

@nick.thomas this is not working for me as well, pressing enter the first time filled the input with an strange content, pressing enter with other term does nothing.
