Display tags in "Commits" section

We're adding Git tag after every release. We want to often see latest releases and get commit SHA to check what is there. "Tags" section isn't helpful because name order is used there and no filters and we've already ~1200 tags. My proposal is to display tags for each commit in "Commits" section so we can use it much more effectively. Looking at commit chronologically we could easily see what is f.ex. released on production.

+1 for this feature. This would help a lot developers here because they are using the Commits list to review changes between two versions/tags and they find the Network view complex to navigate even with one branch selected.

@markglenfletcher, I'd love to see this reopened because I found the current behavior unintuitive:

• Tags, merges, etc. are loaded and hidden behind ellipses ("...").
• You have to click on the ellipses to see the tags after they load, even if there is only one tag. (That wasn't clear to me at all when I first saw it; there wasn't a hover explaining it either.)
• It would be preferable to have a small number of tags shown without clicking; the remainder behind the click. That way when there is only one (or a small number) of tags, we can see it immediately. This would help tremendously when using tags for releases, as the OP describes (and me too).

@markglenfletcher I'm not sure this is what @mlowicki meant, but I'll comment here before (rather than) opening a new issue.

The tags and branches are visible when viewing a specific commit (commit/<SHA>), but not in the commits list (commits/<branch>). I'd like to see theme here too. Besides, in the commit view the tags and branches are all those that contain the commit, which becomes pretty crowded (and almost useless) for older commits. Without removing that, I'd like a more prominent display of the tags and branch tips that match the specific commit (as is shown in network/<branch>, where, by the way, it would also be useful to distinguish between branches and tags).

So... does this belong here or should I open a new issue?
