Delete Issues

Why cant I delete Issues? e.g. trash issues, for testing...

not milestones!!!! Issues!!!! and just tell me why it makes more sense to not delete any issues?? this doesnt make sense at all?? at least as an admin, u should be able to delete issues -.-

+1 from my end for deleting issues as admin.

It really shoud be possible if you're an admin, so definitly +1 for this request.

As specified in http://feedback.gitlab.com/forums/176466-general/suggestions/6584418-remove-issues-and-milestones we would love to provide this functionality to owners.

I agree with many of the commenters that, even though have hard deletes is not a good idea, it's clear that this is lacking from GitLab and that there are situations in which it should be possible to delete things.

• Hard delete or soft delete?
• Only for admins or for all project masters?

Being able to delete labels only increases the work for admins. AFAIK this does not make that much sense for public instances like gitlab.com

Also project masters on gitlab.com needs to delete issues.

@DouweM I think soft delete would be better, but if it's too much work, hard delete would suffice. Shouldn't be something too easy to do (button can be hidden).

Only Project / Group owners.

@JobV The implementation is almost done already, though I misinterpreted what was needed.

De button like "merge immediately" which is hidden under the "Merge When Build Succeeds" button, is considered to be not too easy?

@JobV What do you think of a delete button aligned to the right of the Save button on the Edit page? The Cancel button can go directly next to the Save button.

@DouweM either your proposal or @zj proposal of a dropdown button sounds good. I'm not big on having to edit something before allowing for a certain action though, but see what works.
