Editing my personal project removes me as a member
Summary
After upgrading to 8.14.0 I wanted to edit one of my personal projects (I wanted to enable the issues tracker again). After saving my user got removed as a member of the project. Luckily I was still able to access the members page and add the user again.
Steps to reproduce
This does not seem to happen every time, I could reproduce it on personal projects without a README.md file (might be a coincidence or not). I clicked Settings > Edit Project and enabled or disabled parts of the "Feature Visibility" dialog. After saving my user was removed from the members page.
Expected behavior
I should not be removed as a member of my own project. In general the removal should not be possible in case of jist one account active account I would say.

Can you clarify what you mean by "got removed as a member" and "still able to access the members page"? How did you manage to access the members page if you are no longer a member?
Can you try to identify reliable reproduction steps? Maybe it's specific project feature that causes troubles when disabled.
Not able to reproduce the problem any more. Does not work with newly created private projects and does also not work with the private projects I experienced the problem with. Might be a side effect due to some old projects created with previous Gitlab versions.
I was still able to open the settings menu and choose the members item. Then the members page opened but did not show any members at all. Not sure how or why that worked but it did ;) - When I was in the "non member" state I was only able to see 2 menu items in the top menu bar: Project and Activity. I could even open the activity item and see the entries there.

@shochdoerfer I believe that the empty members page may be caused by https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/24122.
