Commit count doesn't reflect currently selected branch

The commit count in the "Commits" tab of the "Commits" area only appears to show a global count for the project. It would be helpful to show the commit count per branch, similar to GitHub (i.e. if I change the branch, the total displayed should also change). Here's a screenshot of the item I'm talking about:

In this case, the value 18,752 is shown regardless of the branch selected.
