After 8.0 upgrade, editing files via web interface results in "refs/tmp/$SHA" in Network view

Since upgrading to 8.0 and editing files via the web interface I now see "refs/tmp/shawhetever" in the network view next to each commit made through the web interface. However they don't show up in the branch/tag list.
