I Can't Backup GItLab.org remote repository. How to back up it ?

Hello.

I want to back up remote repository (online repository at GitLab.org ). I didn't install gitlab on my own server. I don't wish it.

I read https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/blob/master/doc/raketasks/backup_restore.md , And I tryed according to this.

But the below message was shown.

in the first place、can I realize it (backup of online repository) ?

No there currently no possibility to backup a repository through webinterface. You need to have server access to get all the database related stuff.

Hi, this is an issue I am also facing. I need the ability to backup my git repository from my online hosted gitlab account and I am very sure there are others whom would also need this feature. Any news / feedback on this, please.

@bessie555 If you just want to backup your git repository and wiki, you can do that with cloning the bare repositories to your backup server with a cron job.
The only thing that's currently impossible to backup from gitlab.com are the issues of a project.
