Stars Laggyness can result in negitive stars.

Due to the laggyness of the Star button (notably on Gitlab.com) spam clicking on unstar can result in a negative amount of stars. The same can happen with giving stars except of course in reverse (extra stars). An example of the negative stars can be found on https://gitlab.com/tankerkiller125/ProtonBlog

Not 100% this solves the issue since I can't replicate it locally (but I can see it on GitLab.com), but here's a potential fix: !1628 (merged).

Gitlab.com is also the only place I can find it happening. I even tried using a very low powered VPS with 10 users all clicking on stars to see if I could get it to do it with no success. I think the issue only appears on extremely heavily used gitlab instances.

As I mentioned in the issue, I think it happens in instances where there are a lot of starred projects, so that the search takes a non-trivial amount of time.
