Summary
On Fedora, openSUSE, and maybe other Linux distros, the monospaced font used by GitLab is “Liberation Mono”, which has a weird font rendering.

Steps to reproduce
Using Fedora or openSUSE, type in some text on an issue description textarea or comment box.
What is the current bug behavior?
The F's have a weird rendering and the highlight behavior is also weird.
What is the expected correct behavior?
Using the “DejaVu Sans Mono” font, the text renders much nicely.
Output of checks
- This bug happens on GitLab.com
- Tested on Firefox and Chrome in Fedora
Possible fixes
Place DejaVu Sans Mono
before Liberation Mono
in the monospaced font stack.
