Switching branches does not clear the "too large to show changes"

This is probably related to #2802 (closed), but that issue is about the commit count. I've noticed that in the "Changes" tab, the warning to not being able to show a very large diff also doesn't clear. However, the download link provider does point to the correct diff.

To reproduce, we can create a local branch off of master, with a commit, and then create the MR against a VERY OLD branch. Then, switch the MR branch back to master.
