Merge request info wrong

Per issue https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/35082 you guys broke the ability to approve merge requests.

Since this occurred, I used the CLI to merge since I need to get work done. I did git checkout master, I did git merge my-feature-branch. I pushed. Now the merge request got updated with:

Josh Ribakoff @ribakoff opened less than a minute ago 

Instead it should say

Josh Ribakoff @ribakoff closed less than a minute ago
