Yes, it uses the limited container width.

Curious what the solution here is going to be :) @pedroms @tauriedavis i think this issue may be related to the always expanding whitespace of the content area. I always felt that this could perhaps use some hierarchy.. but not sure. For an example of what i mean, please take a look at https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/merge_requests/10005

IMO, this is not a pressing issue. It also is not related to the new navigation. There is different size page widths being used in the old navigation. It is more obvious with the sidebar, I suppose? I think finishing https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/13680 is the answer, though.
@sarrahvesselov I am not sure how we want to proceed with this issue.
IMO, this is not a pressing issue.
@tauriedavis I was under the impression that the jarring changes between pages was specific feedback we felt necessary to act upon.
I thought that was more related to the sidebar disappearing on some pages, vs. some of the page widths being different.
You are correct @tauriedavis. There were a few comments made about the jarring transition between when going from a contextual area with the sidebar present to a global area with no sidebar. That is a separate issue from this. The issue for that @mydigitalself is https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/35724
I think you are correct on this issue Taurie. It looks like finishing up https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/13680 would alleviate this issue. Thoughts @ClemMakesApps?

@sarrahvesselov i still don't know if #35724 (moved) is the right solution or not, it could be jarring within itself. If the content is moving to fill the space, I would have thought this would be a related solve.

Agreed @mydigitalself. I think that finishing up #13680 (moved) will give us a better idea where the content will fall and what still feels off from area to area. We can close #35724 (moved) altogether IMO until we make sure the spacing on the pages themselves has been improved.
I think #13680 (moved) would solve this issue. I created this issue to highlight the inconsistencies of the content width of the two different pages

I don't think we should close https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/35724, though. Pedro added a nice animation for transitioning to a page without the sidebar.
