the commands to do a initial push might be changed so that no editor is invoked
If we create a new project, and the project page will say, we can make our existing folder on our Mac or PC this repo, by using
cd existing_folder
git init
git remote add origin git@gitlab.com:mike/AddTwoIntegerStrings.git
git add .
git commit
git push -u origin master
Now, we can copy these lines to our Bash shell. However, the git commit is very troublesome here, because it may invoke our editor, and then the line "git push..." is entered into the editor... and we have to delete it, put in a good comment, and then quit, and then copy that "git push..." line again and then paste it to Bash.
So why don't the command
git commit
just be changed to
git commit -am "initial commit"
and everything is good.
