Editing closed issue with closed Milestone causes ticket removal from the Milestone

We are doing some housekeeping in our tickets and noticed, that after editing closed ticket, which belongs to closed milestone, milestone will get removed from that ticket.

There is a message about removing milestone in the ticket notes.

Expected behaviour:

Milestone remains even if it was closed.

Milestone changed to 7.4

Milestone removed

Can someone address this issue?

I can only confirm this issue and find it quite counterintuative. Additionally the dropdown menu should not show please select, but the actual milestone in my opinion on issue view.

This seems to be fixed in 7.8.
I'm unable to reproduce this on gitlab.com so I'll close this issue.

Not fixed. Still present in 7.8.1.

@haynes I'm sorry, but it seems that I was looking into drop down menu for milestone, but current milestone was moved to Milestone: xxxx above dropdown menu.

I can confirm this was fixed.
