Annoying TTY escape characters printed on Windows

Windows doesn't support the vt100 TTY escape characters for color output (not in CMD.exe or PowerShell).

It would make the output much easier to read if the color output characters were excluded from Windows builds.

We'll probably introduce a --nocolor option for the Runner (#1327). After this we can consider to make --nocolor a default option for the Windows version of the Runner.
