Yes, exactly :)

I agree that manual installation of packages should be the featured method on the manual install page. Most users doing a manually install are doing it because they cannot download directly not because they want to do each step manually. :)

Also we'll want details on how to do manual upgrade from package as well.

I've started on this at https://gitlab.com/bbodenmiller/gitlab-ci-multi-runner/blob/patch-1/docs/install/linux-manually.md. Is there a consistent location to download the latest rpm and deb files or only from https://packages.gitlab.com/runner/gitlab-ci-multi-runner where patch changes for each version?
