In the documentation for installing on windows the link named x68
reffers to a runner version: 1.3.4
but should be 1.4.1
.

@maxraab Thanks for noticing! It's not a problem of documentation - both links for
x86
and both links foramd64
are referring thelatest
version. https://gitlab-ci-multi-runner-downloads.s3.amazonaws.com/latest/binaries/gitlab-ci-multi-runner-windows-(...).exeYesterday we've released patch releases
1.3.4
and1.4.1
and unfortunately build for1.4.1
was executed before1.3.4
. So after1.3.4
was finished it overwrittenlatest
binaries.I'll look for a nice and quick method to check which version of Runner is stored as
latest
in our S3 bucket to avoid overwriting newer versions by older in the future. 1 - Author
Even when it's not a problem of documentation, the result is still a link to an old version :)
https://gitlab-ci-multi-runner-downloads.s3.amazonaws.com/latest/binaries/gitlab-ci-multi-runner-darwin-amd64 also points at osx runner version 1.3.4 Version: 1.3.4 Git revision: e447288 Git branch: 1-3-stable GO version: go1.6.3 Built: Mon, 25 Jul 2016 17:20:44 +0000 OS/Arch: darwin/amd64

@maxraab @casibbald I've retried 1.4.1 build - it should put newest version in the
/latest/
directory on S3. Let's leave this issue open until a mechanism to prevent such situations will be prepared.Files will be available in
/latest/
when https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ci-multi-runner/builds/2652555 will be finished. Until then you can download them from the tag directories:- https://gitlab-ci-multi-runner-downloads.s3.amazonaws.com/v1.4.1/binaries/gitlab-ci-multi-runner-darwin-amd64
- https://gitlab-ci-multi-runner-downloads.s3.amazonaws.com/v1.4.1/binaries/gitlab-ci-multi-runner-windows-amd64.exe
