@sytses Maybe we should create GitHub repository to host mirror of gitlab-ci-multi-runner? Currently it's served from my account. It's needed to create trusted builds and I would prefer to link them to GitLab organisation instead.
Hi there,
I found this naming with or without "multi" pretty confusing.
The docker github repo is named "gitlab-ci-multi-runner" the docker image "gitlab" and this repo is named "gitlab-ci-multi-runner" and the doc about launching runners as docker services mentions gitlab-runner.
Might I suggest you put a note in the docs about the naming in the "runner as docker service" part.
Also, I think hosting the github repo under the gitlab account will help identifying the correct official repo.
@RayRutjes I agree the naming is bad. The official name is "GitLab Runner" and we'll try to ensure we use it as much as possible. Can you maybe link to the docker image you mean?
After digging in, they are the same, but if you want people to adopt the new convention, maybe deleting and migrating all repos containing "multi" is the way to go. I don't know the SEO implications though, can we make redirections in github/gitlab/dockerhub?
