Provide some mechanism to configure integration between a GitLab project with a JIRA project (beyond existing settings to make this feature possible).
Make commits in the GitLab project with the JIRA issue ID. In that JIRA issue, view the commits in the development panel. (I.e. the commits automatically show up in the panel).
This should work with JIRA server (on-prem install).
This should work with JIRA cloud (their cloud offering).
@smcgivern : This can be the first iteration of the development panel integration for JIRA. Let me know what you think. We can do anything that's even simpler. I would be happy just to make sure we can talk to the panel. We definitely shouldn't try to get everything in on the first shot.
@oswaldo@smcgivern : Do you prefer to have only one assignee for your issues, at a given time?
(I have nothing outstanding for this issue. But wanted to use the multiple assignees feature. Maybe this isn't the right way to use the feature for us.)
@victorwu no preference, I'm happy for you to share assignment if you want. I think @oswaldo just wasn't clear if you were still working on the specs in any way.
@oswaldo : Not sure what your question / comment is. We want to support all the use cases / scenarios of course, including creating a branch. The scope of this issue (the very first one of the dev panel), is just to view commits though. So we are just leaving the create branch out feature just because of scoping.
