Assets (avatars) URL path not updated after applying SSL certificates
Noticed a minor annoyance this morning and thought I would report it as a possible bug.
I setup 7.4.3 on a Digital Ocean droplet, started with configuring and of course the first item is to upload a super cool avatar.
After I uploaded the avatar, I purchased an SSL certificate and applied (using the docs). After applying the SSL and running gitlac-ctl reconfigure
and gitlab-ctl restart
, I received the following "warning".
[Warning] The page at https://gitlab.domain.com/ displayed insecure content from http://gitlab.domain.com//uploads/user/avatar/34/photo.jpg. (application-d78e3aebfdf9aa068bc71234b2bfea02.js, line 3, x4)
I performed the following steps to attempt to resolve on my end before filing this issue.
- Update
gilt.rb
to remove the trailing slash - as this maybe a nginx routing issue. No change - Rebooted the application and server. No change
- Removed the asset from my profile and then uploaded the same image again. SUCCESS
This is a minor issue that has a simple fix
but thought I should report it.
