Create new issue from comment
While maintaining RVM I find it quite common place that people comment on an issue thinking it's the same problem they have - but in fact it is not.
It would be great to pick comment or few and extract them to a new issue (maybe also allow moving it to another project).

@mpapis Thanks for that suggestion! We will consider it, but in my opinion feature like this can lead to discussions that will lack proper context. When someone writes a comment he makes use of context created by previous comments. Extracting comment to another issues removes this context. What do you think?

I believe Discourse has this functionality, it may be worth looking at their implementation and seeing if we can take some of its ideas.
if I got rights to split - I also got rights to edit any posts? or add new ones? in any case the context can be added back, what can't be done is splitting two different problems into separate issues :) my biggest concern is when I go and manually split like shown in the example from @connorshea - the issue (initial comment) looses it's author, I can mention this person, but it stops being this person issue, it becomes the maintainer issue - this is huge problem in open source.
