Markdown processing very slow

It seems the used engine to process markdown is really slow.

For example: copy https://github.com/bbatsov/ruby-style-guide/blob/master/README.md into a wiki page on gitlab. Opening the wiki page takes approx 20 secondes on a decent gitlab host.

Yeap. It was a problem inside parser for docs with a lot of code snippets (like provided link)

Before:

[1] pry(#<Redcarpet::Render::GitlabHTML>)> puts Benchmark.measure {  h.gfm(full_document) }
 11.630000   0.180000  11.810000 ( 12.715877)
=> nil

After:

[1] pry(#<Redcarpet::Render::GitlabHTML>)> puts Benchmark.measure {  h.gfm(full_document) }
  0.480000   0.020000   0.500000 (  0.524807)
=> nil
