git 2.15.0 has some significant performance improvements when running `git
fetch` on a repository that has lots of references. See

The issue with stale worktrees we had bumping up to git 2.16 should be
resolved via https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/merge_requests/18095/diffs.

I was trying to make the diffs less confusing by changing the name
but the files are at least 80% the same, so git just detected it as rename
and diffed it anyways.

Dropping the name change.

The updated patch is not any functionally different than the previous, and the
2.8 patch we created does work, but requires a fuzz factor of 1

Applies without any fuzz to git 2.10.2 and only with offsets of <30 lines

So this here is the exact same patch, with only the offsets updated to match git 2.10.2

We need to do this again because this we are now
shipping git 2.8 instead of git 2.7, and the previous
patch needed to be updated to work.

Instead of updating the previus patch, I have reported the
original patch from http://public-inbox.org/git/20161201090336.xjbb47bublfcpglo@sigill.intra.peff.net/

And seen that is is essentially the same as the previous.
