  Auto-deploy tags don't include the same patch component returned by the version API, so don't use that component. Instead we rely on the minor and major version, and the commit sha.

Build and push QA image on auto-deploy tags · a9c89cfe

The Docker-QA job now runs on auto-deploy builds as well

Modifies the qa:push:staging task to detect if the current build is
an auto-deploy build and if so it builds an image with a tag that
includes the GitLab version and commit SHA. This allows gitlab-qa
to figure out which image to pull using only the info returned
from the version API.

Extract spec_helper from chef_helper · 56933518

chef_helper loads a lot of chef related testing libraries, and includes
a call to ohai to configure them.  This is not always needed when
testing library code/rake tasks.

When running examples directly from the command-line during development
we can see a speedup of around 1.5 seconds, by using the reduced
`spec_helper` rather than the full `chef_helper`.
