License and copyright

This is a mess at the moment. Files imported from omnibus-chef-server have an Apache license and have Opscode copyrights. Our (GitLab.com) preferred license is MIT. We need to figure out at least the following things:

• What license do we use for the GitLab code / changes? If MIT then we end up with a mixed-license project (if that even means something). If Apache then this is a break from our other open source work.
• We need a mechanism / process to put copyrights on GitLab.com contributions which respects the existing Opscode copyrights and license.

Maybe ask Chef Inc. if we can use the MIT Expat license.
