Choice of secure keyboard entry does not persist

What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Select "Secure Keyboard Entry"
- Work securely
- Exit iTerm
- Open ITerm
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: "Secure Keyboard Entry" to be on.
Actual: It is silently off, unlike Terminal.app, which persists it.
This would be nice, even as an undocumented default option. As mentioned before, there is no time I want my terminal keystrokes insecure. I did check the defaults , but there was nothing.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
10.6.5 r378
