Copy/paste fails if selection includes unicode

If the selection includes unicode, the text does not get copied to the clipboard.

I discovered this first with emoji characters. I, uh, have the "" character (U+1F4A9/U+E05A) to indicate a non-pristine git repo. :) It happens for other unicode characters such as "Ħ" (U+0126).

Using Build 2.1, updated today.

Can you tell if it's copy or paste that's failing? What if you copy in iTerm2 and paste into textedit?

Ah! It seems to be when the unicode appears as part of the prompt, and is followed by a newline.

I narrowed the fail condition down to this example:

$ export PS1='Hello\n$ '

Try that, and then attempt to copy-paste anything which includes the from the prompt.

To answer your question: it seems to happen in the "copy". I am unable to paste into Sublime, Textedit, or back into iTerm2.

Thanks for narrowing that down. Looks like surrogate pairs at the end of a line get broken so nothing can copy. Fixed in commit 8fb8a564 (v2 branch) and 08dc0d4d (master).
