Save Window Arrangement not working when loading from custom URL

iTerm 2.1.1:

Saving profiles and window arrangement working without problems.

Preferences -> Load preferences from a custom folder or URL

Saving profiles only working when "Save Settings to Folder" is clicked (auto-update checkbox would be great), but window arrangement can not be saved. Even after "Save Settings to Folder" the arrangement is NOT saved.

btw.: third small issue, all in all a great piece of software that makes my life easier!

Odd, it works for me. You're correct that you must press Save Settings to Folder to update the prefs. Let's try this:

1. Make a backup copy of your settings file in your custom folder (it'll be called com.googlecode.iterm2.plist)
2. Add a window arrangement
3. Click Save Settings to Folder
4. Quit iTerm2
5. run diff on the com.googlecode.iterm2.plist file in your custom folder vs the backup. Do they differ?

• If they don't differ: Let me know and we'll investigate
• If they are different: Good. Restart iTerm2. Is the new window arrangement there?
  • If yes: great, there's no bug :)
  • If no: please attach both the backup and the current plist files here

Milestone changed to Ship 3.0

Default Arrangement Name and Window Arrangements all stored in the .plist file as expected. No idea why this has not worked yesterday. But the "auto-update" feature would be great (at least a notification that the changes will be lost on exit).

There is a notification but it's easy to miss. I added an explicit preference to general prefs in commit 6777dd53
