Feature request: hide from dock

I only use iTerm in hotkey mode (I find it way more convenient since I rely heavily on spaces), so having it in a dock / cmd+tab is useless to me and honestly just gets in the way when I do use cmd+tab.

I'm suggesting an option to not show iTerm in the dock / application switcher and probably simultaneously disallowing "normal" windows (since I don't think you can toggle this while the app is running?)

@gnachman Thank you for the bash function. Although it is a clever solution, I still think a built-in iTerm option from perhaps a right-click menu would be nice.

Unfortunately it's not that easy. I would need to find a way to keep two copies of iTerm2 running concurrently, which means sharing various bits of state between them without stepping on each other.

This is now an advanced preference. Prefs > Advanced > Hide iTerm2 from the dock and from the ⌘-Tab app switcher.
