[feature request] Trigger action that allows setting of a user variable

• OS version 10.11.4 Beta (15E39d)

• Attach a debug log (https://iterm2.com/debuglog) Not really a debug issue..

So, here's the deal. I love the shell integration stuff, but I can't use that in all locations, partially due to legal regulations. However, triggers is awesome and the couple of items I want to do would be pretty simple using triggers IF I could set a user variable. So, what would it take to get that added?

As a for instance, right now I can "capture" the user and host from the terminal provided my shell prompt shows them in some format that I can parse with a regex. What I'm looking for is the same functionality but the ability to store that item in a user variable I can reference in something like a badge. That way I can display important information on the screen about my environment such as which environment I'm in... Dev, stage, prod, etc..
