Don't resize non-selected tabs on window resize until the tab gets selected

• iTerm2 version: 3.0.12
• OS version:10.12.1

Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Open more than one tab
2. resize the window
3. other tabs show the blue dot, indicating activity on that tab. but there really isn't any activity.

What happened: activity dot appears when it shouldn't

What should have happened: activity dot should not appear on basic window resize

Please either fix this as a bug or, if done intentionally, add an option in preferences to turn this behavior off. Thanks.

We ignore any activity for 0.25 seconds after a resize occurs. Is it possible this is a slow ssh connection or something else is causing it to take a long time to update? If you believe this is not the issue, then please attach a debug log. I tried to reproduce and it seems to behave well for me when I'm running emacs locally in a tab.

I did some tests on local shells. Didn't notice the dot. I did try it for some ssh sessions to remote machines. Dot appears on other tabs a couple of seconds after I resize. I don't consider that "activity" though and therefore the dot shouldn't appear.

Hm, I wonder what's happening in those ssh seconds after a couple of seconds. Could you do this:

1. Create a window with two tabs.
2. In the first tab, ssh somewhere
3. The second tab can be a local shell
4. Select the second tab
5. Select iTerm2 > Toggle debug logging
6. Resize the window.
7. Wait for the blue dot to appear on the first tab
8. Select iTerm2 > Toggle debug logging
9. Attach /tmp/debuglog.txt to this issue.

Turns out this issue happens even without ssh'ing into another host. I have two tabs open. Neither is ssh'd. Resize the window. After about 6-8 seconds, the other tab shows blue dot. I did it twice in the attached debug log, once on each tab.debuglog.txt

Oh, of course…the true fix is not to resize sessions in non-selected tabs until they become selected. That's also a nice performance win for resizing windows.
