suggestion: arbitrary commands for the touch bar
Just a feature suggestion, if this is the right place for that
the ability to add arbitrary commands as buttons to the touch bar. for example, sudo !! or clear. This would be a per-profile setting, to account for different shells on different hosts.

You should write a plugin for you shell that sets the key labels and binds to function keys to execute commands.
Apart from that, you can create custom TouchBar buttons by defining key mappings in Preferences. (Don't forget to View > Customize Touch Bar...)

This is a little different of a request because it's for a "per-profile" touch bar view. You can't currently define those, but it seems useful. I think the way to implement it would be like we do for function keys: have two views, one scrubber and one popover, that reveal session-specific buttons.
