Shell Integration: "hostname: Unknown host"

Logged into a server, upgraded shell integration, logged in again later in the day, saw: hostname: Unknown host

Commented out iTerm shell integration in bash profile, error went away. Uncommented, error came back.

• Server in question is running CentOS 5.6 (Yeah, it's old.)
• iTerm version: Build 3.1.beta.4

Looking a little deeper, hostname displays the hostname, hostname -f displays hostname: Unknown host.

Still, would be nice if iTerm2's shell integration handled that case more cleanly even though it's perhaps not an ideal server configuration.

The ip address does reverse-resolve with dig, so I'm going to have to dig deeper in to why hostname is reporting unknown host, which is clearly nothing to do with iTerm -- I just think it would be nice if iTerm's shell integration didn't expose whatever's going on, or explained that there was a failure and why. ;) I'll stop rambling now.

I've never seen hostname -f returning that particular message, but I could check for it client-side.
