iTerm stable build prompts me to "update" to a beta build

• iTerm2 version: Build 3.0.15
• OS version: macOS Sierra 10.12.5
• Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist [com.googlecode.iterm2.plist] (/uploads/4846bb9cd48ab0488b17d5bc3f8f7674/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist)

Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:

1. iTerm 2 menu -> Check for Updates...

What happened: iTerm prompts to install a beta version of the software. Screen_Shot_2017-07-24_at_2.30.22_PM

What should have happened: iTerm should keep beta and stable release channels separate, similar to Chrome. I don't want to run beta software. I tried re-installing from the stable link on the website, but it still prompts to install the beta.

This setting controls the channel:

By default you'll get the release channel. But it does seem reasonable to default new users to the beta channel if they install a beta.

changed milestone to %Review for next version
