Inline images are always non-retina displayed.

Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Use imgcat script to output an image.
2. See that it is not using all of the physical screen pixels (it is non-retina) For example:

I would suggest:

• to extend the inline image protocol to enable retina display:
  • auto (settings default)
  • force non-retina
  • force retina
• to introduce an option in the preferences that allows to overrule the protocol and force either non-retina or retina.

I guess it should take a scale parameter, and it could infer it from filenames like @2x.png and whatever Android uses. This is a good idea!
