Project Network Graph is empty when no master branch is present. Setting default branch does not resolve an issue.

Could this be added to the 4.2 milestone? Or some "fix and improve network graph"-milestone together with #1557 (closed) and #2477 (closed) (and maybe #1583 (closed)).

I'm using GitLab 4.2 from the unofficial Debian packages and this bug is still present. I have repositories, that never had a branch called 'master' and their graph is empty. Adding a branch with this name leads to a correct graph. @hiroponz could you a have look on this?

@mmoll I have confirmed this problem. "https://github.com/gitlabhq/grit/pull/12" is a quick fix for this problem.

@aredridel you can edit your git-ruby.rb according to the diff in gitlabhq/grit#12 and restart gitlab, it was fixed for me since then.
