Next version number?
Created by: dzaporozhets
Since we made a major changed to application (Namespaces, dropped sqlite support etc) I'd like to ask about next version number.
Should it be 4.0 or 3.2?

Probably also Discussions are ready by then. So I think 4.0 is more appropriate.

Does it really matter? You're making great software, don't worry about numbers, just keep it going on:)

It matters for managing expectations. With a change of the major number you make it more obvious for users and admins alike, that there might be significant changes in setup, management, UI, handling etc.

@Mario he doesn't mean it that way, he's just not good in wording things. ;) What he meant was if you have a "patch" please submit it as a pull request (also a link would have been nice, I for example have no idea what you are referring to). :) It's just not possible for us to pick everything that comes up in conversations and put them back into the code. Please help us by patching and testing the changes and then submitting a PR.

I and @randx have seen that patch. Your patch requires about 10 hours of our time. We have no time. Moreover we have said you about it.
